You aren’t going to want to see things like wall paint on the ceiling, or paint from the cabinets on the wall — rather the lines should be clean.

5. Window Caulking Should Be Properly Done

There are a number of ways that you can err when you are caulking a window — you might put on the caulking too thick, or not apply enough.

If you find that there are issues with any of these, it is likely that the caulking is just going to have to be redone or at least partially corrected.

6. How To Inspect Baseboards

The baseboards are a fairly important part of your interior, and after an interior paint job, you are going to want to check them out to make sure that all was done correctly with them.

Seeing nails popping out of the baseboards, for example, is a sign that errors were made with the interior paintwork — you should see just the baseboards, and to see them as being smoothly painted.

7. Smooth Is Important

Lastly, you should make sure that your paintwork is smooth — it will be an indication that the surfaces were properly prepared prior to the painting.
